逗子マリーナ
マリブホテル ＆ マリブファーム
日本とは思えないマリーナリゾートの空気感を庭の風合いや色彩により表現をした。敷地はヤシの木越しに江ノ島や富士山を望むマリーナに面する。この開放的な魅力は庭の水盤を介して海へと連続し顕在化される。屋外テラスは水盤との高低差や距離感にバリエーションを設けて場所毎に異なる視点で海の眺めを楽しめる。またオーナーの所有する20世紀初頭に建造された木造帆船の改修に伴い残された歴史ある船材を象徴的に用いた。既設施設群の中に紺碧の水盤と草花がなびく新旧織り重なる表情が加わった。

Zushi Marina
Malibu Hotel ＆ Malibu Farm
This is a place where no trace of Japan is found, but a site where the texture and colors within the landscape exudes a feel of a marina resort. The site faces the marina with a view of Enoshima Island and Mt. Fuji. The water surface within the garden creates a harmonious flow that seems to continue out into the sea and creates an overall feel of openness within the garden. By adding variations to the outdoor terrace seating in height and distance from the water, visitors can enjoy the view of the sea from different perspectives. The owner’s wooden sailing ship, built in the early 20th century, has been renovated, and the remnant timbers have been used as some of the symbolic features within the space. The azure water blends with the blooming flower plants and create a place that weaves together the old and the new.
