北名古屋プロロジスパーク
北に名神高速道路、南に東名阪高速道路がはしる中部エリアの陸上輸送拠点のひとつとして建設された物流施設である。車両交通量の多い幹線道路沿いの立地ではあるが、背後には田畑が広がり静かな暮らしの場がひかえている。施設用途上、建物ボリュームを必要とするが地域への景観インパクトを軽減できるようにつとめている。幹線道路沿いの歩道に対しては、緑と石によるしなやかな塀をセットバックして設けることで、これまでの窮屈な歩行空間を快適なものにしている。また外周緑地に多くの樹木を植栽し、将来的には屋敷林の点在する周辺の風景になじませる。物流の拠点であると共に地域の環境向上を促す拠点となりうる施設を目指す。

This distribution facility is one of several overland shipping centers that the company operates in the Chubu region. Although the lot is located next to a traffic-heavy trunk road, a quiet neighborhood of houses and fields stretches out behind it. For that reason, we worked hard to minimize the visual impact of the facility on the neighborhood. We turned the walkway along the main road into a comfortable pedestrian space by building a wall of caged stone and greenery alongside it. To ensure the building blends into the surrounding landscape dotted with small private woods, we planted abundant young trees around the property. Our goal was to create a facility that would not only be a center for shipping but also for improving the environment of the neighborhood.
